Formatting Text:
Characters are
individual letters, numbers, symbols, punctuation marks, and spaces in a
document.
In Microsoft Word,
you can apply one or more formatting options to a single character or to
multiple characters at the same time.
The character formatting options
include:

Font and Font
Size
o
Font Styles such as Bold,
Italic, and Underline
o
Font Effects such as text
color, highlight color, and Change Case
These formatting tools help improve the
appearance and readability of text in a document.
The Font Group, located on the Home
Tab of the Ribbon, contains various buttons used for text
formatting.
Using these tools, users can easily
customize the style and appearance of text.
